Chapter 1

  1. Cue, craving, response, and reward cycle of habit formulation.
  2. 1% better every day. Compound interest of betterment or degradation.
  3. Trajectory, the direction of every decision matters.
  4. Small changes often appear to make no difference until you cross a critical threshold. The most powerful outcomes of any compounding process are delayed. You need to be patient.
  5. Success is about the winning of the system, not winning of the goal. You do not rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems. Satisfaction comes from constant maintenance and revision of the system, instead of achieving milestones.
